Definitive Permanence may be requested immediately depending on the type of residence permit or upon the expiration of the provisional permit of (2) two years granted by Immigration.

 

If it is the definitive stay (when a provisional residence permit has already been granted), the applicant must provide:

- The National Income Certification in good standing.

- Some of the requirements for the provisional two-year permit.

The Panama Friendly Nations Residence Permit is a special immigration program where citizens of selected countries who have professional or economic ties with Panama are eligible to apply for permanent residence and apply for a work permit valid for three years since they meet the criteria.
